Thyme Julep<\/em><\/p>\n

Thyme Simple Syrup
\n<\/strong>1 cup water
\n1 cup granulated sugar
\n1 bunch fresh thyme<\/p>\n

Ingredients
\n<\/strong>2 oz Kentucky bourbon whiskey
\n1 tablespoon thyme infused simple syrup
\n1 tablespoon lemon juice
\n4 sprigs of fresh thyme, for garnish
\n1 splash club soda<\/p>\n

Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. In a pot over high heat bring water, sugar and thyme to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 2 minutes. Turn off heat and allow the mixture to cool completely for 10 minutes, then remove thyme.<\/li>\n
2. Fill an 8 oz julep cup with crushed ice. Pour whiskey over ice, add the thyme simple syrup and lemon juice. Top it with a splash of club soda and sprigs of thyme for garnish.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
